Nine students presented their research at the American Physical Society April meeting in Sacramento, one of the largest professional physics conferences in the country. Albert Han ’24 presented a talk entitled “Search for a doubly charged Higgs decaying to muons or electrons: Prospects for CMS Run 3” and Claire O’Brien-Dull ’24 presented a talk entitled “Search for dark photons decaying to lepton jets: Prospects for CMS Run 3.”
Classmates: Sree Atyam, Ivan Chen, Katie Jenks, Marcus Kubon, Gavin O’Malley, Vikram Rao, and Malcolm Wilson-Ahlstrom presented posters on the same topics, based on their investigations done in the Particle Physics SIR Course mentored by Dr. Peter Dong.
