Mr. John (Jack) McEachern

Mr. McEachern, Jr. was the President and CEO of Wayne Circuits, Inc., a printed circuit board manufacturing organization, from 1968-2000. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors at Rush-Copley Medical Center from 1990-1997 and remains a member of the governing board today.

A successful small business owner and active civic leader, he was appointed by Governor James Thompson from private industry in 1985 to serve as a member of the founding Board of Trustees.  He served as a Trustee for 20 years and was Chairman from 1997-2001. He also served on the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Teams and the Presidential Search Committee.

Mr. McEachern’s profound commitment and contributions to IMSA have been unwavering and his support has done much to advance and position IMSA for the long-term. Through the years, he has been a passionate advocate for service learning and leadership development.

The John H. McEachern, Jr. Exemplary Service Learning Award is given annually to an IMSA student who goes “above and beyond the call” of service to others and must model leadership behaviors and skills learned and acquired throughout their three years at the Academy.
