What is the IMSA Fund?
The IMSA Fund for Advancement of Education is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to carry out certain charitable, educational, literary and scientific purposes of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. The IMSA Fund solicits, receives, invests and administers gifts, grants and other contributions from the private sector (corporations, foundations, individuals and other organizations) to support IMSA’s mission and work.
IMSA needs the support of alumni, faculty and staff, parents, Board members and friends to continue to do important and successful work. We take our mission seriously, and only private support can help us achieve some of our goals.

Absolutely! Gifts at all levels and of all sizes are important if the Academy is to continue to thrive in the future. Every gift, regardless of size, matters and sends a powerful message that the IMSA community believes in the Academy and its educational programs. Annual giving at the IMSA Fund is a collection of hundreds of gifts, large and small. Participation is KEY– it is a powerful indication of the strength of the Academy.
All donors are recognized on our website and in our annual report. In addition, lifetime donors of $10,000 or more are automatically members of our Kaleidoscope Society, and their name is added to the Donor Wall at the main entrance of IMSA. We also have donor recognition events at various times of the year. We recognize donors according to our fiscal years, which run July 1 to June 30.
Your employer may match your gift to a non profit 501(c)(3) like the IMSA Fund. Some will even double or triple it! For each gift, ask your human resources office for a matching gift form, fill it out, and send it to the IMSA Fund along with your check or soon thereafter.
