Reflejos Bilingual Newspaper published an interview with Dr. Torres yesterday as part of their series "Suburban Leaders who have made a difference." Dr. Torres speaks about being a Latino leader in the community, the change that he helped bring to Elgin school district U-46, his current work at IMSA, and what influences him.
"I have always believed that education is the way out of poverty, he tells the bilingual newspaper. "I’m motivated by serving all in my community and serving in some small way as a role model for others who aspire to leadership and service."
