Wellness Faculty
Bio:
I grew up in Saint Joseph Michigan before attending Western Michigan University. During my undergrad years I joined the cheer team and met my now wife while on the team. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education. In between undergrad and grad school, I coached JV tennis at St Joseph High School for one spring season. I enrolled in grad school in August of 2008 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Adapted Physical Education from Western Michigan University. I have been at IMSA since August of 2009. I started a project called June’s Learning Laboratory which helps promote social justice and cultural competency and I have presented twice professionally with students and other colleagues. I teach group fitness at Orangetheory Fitness. My wife and I have two kids and enjoy traveling, especially to northern Michigan.
