The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy is now offering high school students the opportunity to pursue a high-level, semester-long, in-depth study of Organic Chemistry

The American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR) selected Junior Grace Carlberg as one of the 30 most outstanding Russian students of 2014 across the United States.

Harvard-MIT Student Winner

IMSA Sophomore Ayan Agarwal placed third in the Guts round of the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament on November 15, along with teammates from the University of Chicago Lab School.


Both of Illinois’ Regional Finalists in the 2014 Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology are IMSA students, the Siemens Foundation recently announced.

The National Merit® Scholarship Program recently named 48 semifinalists from IMSA in its 2015 competition, representing 34 different communities throughout Illinois.

Following a national search, Dr. José M. Torres has been selected as the new President of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. 

Knowing that our residence halls renovation project could experience some delays, as often happens in large-scale projects, in early June we set mid-July as the time to make a decision about whether we would need to delay the start of our 2014-15 academic year.
