IMSA is looking for a qualified summer intern to join our Instructional Technology and Media Center (ITMC) team. Our ITMC department produces quality instructional and promotional digital media for the IMSA community and our constituents, and seeks a summer intern who can participate in the various stages of digital media production.
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of digital media production.
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule: 35 Hrs/Week, 8:00am – 3:30pm (flexible), Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays may also be required. This internship is for the month of June with the potential to be extended through mid-August, pending budget allocations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the stages of digital media production – pre-production, production & post productions.
- Assist in the script writing, storyboarding and creative planning of digital media projects.
- Assist in the distribution or delivery of digital media
- Assist with Audio Visual live event set up and support
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
IMSA is looking for a student who is either majoring in Digital Media/Cinematography, Mass Communications, Marketing, or a recent graduate or a current High School student who has experience in media production, or otherwise related field. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with basic knowledge of digital media production, Adobe Creative (or equivalent) software, DSLR photography experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
This position is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt, employment-at-will position. Position compensation is $9.00/hr. As a temporary position, this position is not eligible for benefits.
