IMSA Article Published to Cover of Acta Crystallographica

September 30, 2020
One of the twelve (12) papers that a group of four hard-working IMSA students wrote, submitted, and published about their X-ray diffraction work has made the cover of Acta Crystallographica! Follow the link for details.
See https://journals.iucr.org/e/issues/2020/10/00/ (paper #5 in the list below; the compounds in the article were synthesized by Shivang and Nilan at NCC!).
Thank you so much for your assistance and facilitation during the 19 months this collaborative work between Diana Gonzalez, Shivang Bhaskar, Jerry Hong, Nilan Patel, myself, and Dr. Kaduk at North Central College (NCC) was active. I am very proud of our work together and the excellent IT resources IMSA allowed us to use to complete this work (Kraken—the supercomputer) and occasionally a classroom when we couldn’t meet at NCC.
Although these students have graduated and are on to new adventures, Dr. Kaduk and I anticipate working with IMSA students again in our X-ray diffraction SIR as soon as this pandemic is under control.
For your reference/records, here are the other papers we have submitted/published.
