Biography
Peter Dong attended Washington Elementary, Eastmont Intermediate, and Schurr High Schools in Montebello, California. Under the tutelage of teachers such as Christine Hoehner, Lorraine Wellenstein, Leonard Narumi, David Lebow, and Harry Manos, he learned firsthand what an amazing teacher looked like. He received a Bachelor’s degree in physics and music from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in physics from UCLA and then got hired at a dream job teaching at IMSA in 2008. Dr. Dong specializes in teaching modern physics and computational science. He also runs a research group that works with Fermilab to analyze particle physics data from the LHC and helps support other Christians on campus.
